Competency assessment is an important activity that involves identification of the desired skills required for each role in order to achieve set business objectives. This exercise is not a performance appraisal. It is a clear identification of required individual learning that can be measured at the organisation level periodically. The competencies are divided into six main categories such as Managerial, Leadership, Developmental, Communication, Personal Attributes and Attitude. It provides key inputs to the training department to arrange for transformation workshops and individual counselling sessions.

MC3 uses its 'Competencies Definition Repository' that explains the desired behavior for each role
The fulfillment of the gap in competencies becomes a part of the overall performance scorecard for each individual
